Other than being free, what could be so great about a custom mod developed out of Valve Software's control? Step into the mod for 5 minutes and you will realize how much effort has been put into the game. According to the mod itself, anyone who has stuck with TFC since Half-Life, will be pleased with the updates this mod brings. TF2 will definately pwn it, but you cant just ignore a mod because the official game came out already.

This mod offers the original Fortress gameplay with updated and invented mechanisms to balance gameplay and improve upon what was already in place with Team Fortress Classic. The mod is a TOTAL CONVERSION, this means a lot in a massive realm of "mods" who's only invention was a new map or two with some modified rulesets.
