Also known as "HL2CTF" or "HL2: CTF" | Posted by Brent on Jul 31st 05 07:56 PM
As a privately developed modification for Half-Life 2, it has progressed greatly in the past months. HL2CTF is a partial-modification, meaning the majority of the content in-game is (or came with but wasnt used) in Half-Life 2.

As far as gameplay the maps are fairly balanced, and each weapon has it's weaknesses and strengths. This game makes use of physics very well, so in the stairwells you will have fun clogging it up, or piling up junk at the top waiting to blow it down upon your enemy leaving them stuck under a bunch of chairs and desks making an easy target.

For those of you unfamiliar with this weapon, there are two fire modes: one that treats the device as a remote explosive, the other treats it as a trip mine. When you are near a surface you can place the trip mine upon that surface, but move out of the way quickly. You will want to keep physics objects away as they can be used to trip the mines, and you will also want to keep the beam as short as possible.
